    Presents U.S. views of description and analysis of all countries' profiles.  Probably the most comprehensive online-encyclopedia of the world's background on the Internet.

Zarate's Political Collections(ZPC)

    Easy-accessed website for searching information of ruling elites all over the world.

General History of Latin America

    Developed by UNESCO, containing 9 big volumes of historical chronicles from a universal perspective.

Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection: Maps of Americas

    Located in UT-Austin, this page provides all kinds of L.A. countries' maps and useful links.

Zona Latina (Latin Zone)

 Containing probably the most comprehensive and organized list of all Latin American mass media.

The National Security Archive: Latin America Projects

    Founded in 1985 and now located in George Washington University, this archive is designed to offer the massive amount of material already released and declassified by the U.S. government on international affairs.

Oxford Latin American Economic History Database (OxLAD)

    Initiated and funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, the OxLad contains statistical series for a wide range of economic and social indicators covering twenty countries in the region for the period 1900-2000.

United Nations Statistics Division: Statistical Databases

    Established by UN, this website provides data on international trade, national accounts, energy, industry, environment, transport and demographic and social statistics gathered from many national and international sources.

    The most comprehensive academic website about Latin America in the world. Established in UT-Austin, LANIC provides very well-organized website information for all Latinoamericanista.

CLACSO (Latin American Council of Social Science)

    The most attractive thing of this academic community is its "Biblioteca Vitual" which contains over 5000 online free full-text publications.

Graduate Schools Directories: Latin American Studies

    Founded by Educational Directories Unlimited, listing all the US universities providing Latin American Studies Programs.
